Assessment of student’s body posture with the use of ZEBRIS system

Introduction: The study of body posture is a major operation aimed at early detection of emerging in the pathological changes. At present there are many methods for the assessment of body posture. Methods were very simple, as the imprint the spine in leady wire, or on the vertically line of moving pickets, or visual bulleted methods. Modern methods, such as a ZEBRIS system or method of Mory are much more objective methods than visual methods. The ultrasound system ZEBRIS through the index, the reference points on the patient and the measuring unit, allows for scans anatomical points on the patient's bone and transfer them to a report in the form of a computer program.
Aim: To examine the posture of student body and the correlation of these results with their lifestyle. Attempted to determine the existence of the relationship between the results obtained, and the lifestyle of students.
Material and methodology: Study group included 30 first-year students of physiotherapy at the Uni-versity of Rreszow 80% were women. 46% live in the city. All respondents were 20 years old. Each of the respondents in the first instance, nes asked to fill out a short questionnaire concerning their lifestyle habits and health of a brief intervie.
Results and conclusions: Statistical analysis of results showed the existence of the relationship be-tween the presence of changes in the attitude of the body and sex, playing musical instruments, sporting activities and the occurrence of eye diseases. No relationship tau shown the occurrence of changes in the attitude of the body from the place of residence and the items taken during the study.
