Evaluation of the motor activity and physical fitness of women over 65 years of age diagnosed with osteoporosis. Preliminary reports

Introduction: The aging process naturally leads to limitation of physical fitness, even in a situation of retaining one’s selfreliance. Therefore, in the research which assesses the fitness of the elderly, advanced age is one of the most consistent factors which makes fit people different from the examined ones with impaired physical fitness. The application of a manual method Senior Fitness Test (SFT) allows for providing an assessment of the motor activity and physical fitness of a patient Aim of the study: The aim of this work is to evaluate the motor activity and physical fitness of women over 65 years of age, diagnosed with osteoporosis.
Materials and methods: The subjects were women over 65 years of age, diagnosed with osteoporosis, average age was 69,9. The research was carried out by means of the SENIOR FITNESS TEST.
Results: All the obtained research results of the evaluated activities are worse than the results of the group studied in the USA.
Conclusions: Evaluation of the motor activity and physical fitness of women after the age of 65 diagnosed with osteoporosis in Poland is very unfavourable.
