Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) in adults and children – case report

It is commonly said that the clinical courses of the infectious diseases in both children’s and adults’ cases are comparable; however children’s symptoms are often more escalated. The HIV virus infection and AIDS proceed differently in children and adults. The differences concern all aspects of the infection: definition of AIDS, epidemiology, pathogenesis, ways of spreading of the infection, diagnostic approach, clinical picture and methods of treatment.
