About the Journal

tekst i dyskurs – text und diskurs is the only peer-reviewed linguistic academic journal in Poland that focuses on issues related to text, discourse, and broadly understood communication.

The aim of the journal is to promote innovative and interdisciplinary research on linguistic and multimodal communication, with particular emphasis on the role of text and discourse in this process. We are primarily interested in studies that integrate methods from stylistics, semantics, pragmatics, cultural linguistics, media linguistics, and comparative linguistics. Our goal is to develop and deepen linguistic theories and methods in the field of text and discourse linguistics, thereby fostering cooperation among linguists representing various philological traditions in Poland and abroad.

The annual journal tekst i dyskurs – text und diskurs has been published since 2008. It was created through cooperation among textologists, mediolinguists, and communication scholars. It is a joint project of the Institute of German Studies at the University of Warsaw and the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Rzeszów in Poland.

The manuscripts undergo scientific review while maintaining the anonymity of the authors and reviewers. Articles are published in both printed and electronic formats under the Open Access model and are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. All texts are original and previously unpublished. No publication fees are charged.
