Remarks on the Material Culture of the Akhal Area in the Hellenistic Period

This article deals with the archaeological sites of a central part of the Kopetdag piedmont (in the medieval period this territory was called “province of Nisa”, in the 19 th century “Akhal”), presumably dated to the 3 rd century BC. The author gives an explanation of a possible slight influence of Greek culture on the material culture of this region.
