Life Orientation of Nurses- and the motivating factors of the students to choice the education of the nursing profession based on the example of the Nursing Faculty students of the Rzeszów University

The main aim of the undertaken research was to present the correlation between the sense of coherence with its theere components, i.e. the sense of understanding, resourcefulness and the feeling of sense, and factors influencing the nursing occupation choince. The research was carried out with the use of the Life Orientation SOC–29 Questionnaire and a questionnaire drawn up by the author. The questionnaires were complited by 148 undergraduate students of the Nursing faculty. The analysis of motivating factors influencing on the choice of educational direction indicated very high statistically dependence between of global sense of coherence and the feeling of sense and choice of a profession factor: – interesting and attractive profession in the future (p=0,000), – conformity of interests to the educational direction (p=0,000). It has been revealed very high statistical dependence between the feeling of sense and predispositions to the nurse profession (p=0,000).
