Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The journal "Music in the Pedagogical, Social and Cultural Context" is published by the University of Rzeszów as an annual. Articles published in the volume should be prepared in Polish or English, provided with keywords and a summary in Polish and English (including the title).
The editorial office accepts only original works, articles, polemics, reviews, translations of foreign texts from the thematic scope corresponding to the journal, as well as information and reports, not published in other publishing houses.

Authors submitting a publication are bound by the principle of scientific reliability, objectivity of the conducted research and avoiding multiple duplication of previously published works.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Editorial Office introduces principles aimed at counteracting cases of ghostwriting and guest authorship.

  • ghostwriting is a phenomenon that occurs when someone has made a significant contribution to the creation of a publication, but does not disclose his/her participation (he/she is not listed as a co-author of the work, nor is his/her role included in the acknowledgements attached to the publication);
  • guest authorship (honorary authorship) is a phenomenon that occurs when the author's participation is negligible or non-existent, and yet he/she is the author/co-author of the publication.
  1. The procedure for counteracting reprehensible practices adopted in the journal "Music in the Pedagogical, Social and Cultural Context":
  • ghostwriting, guest authorship are evidence of scientific dishonesty, therefore all detected cases will be stigmatized by the Editorial Office, including notification of the appropriate entities (institutions employing the authors, scientific societies, associations of scientific editors, etc.);
  • The Editorial Office of the journal will document all manifestations of scientific dishonesty, especially cases of violations and infringements of ethical principles applicable in science.

In the case of co-authorship, the authors of the publication are required to disclose the contribution of individual persons to the creation of the text, providing their affiliation and information who and in what part is the author of the concept, assumptions, methods, etc. used in the preparation of the publication), with the primary responsibility resting with the author submitting the text.

Articles, after receiving positive reviews, are published under the Creative Commos CC-BY NC license ND.

Authors do not bear any costs related to the editorial procedure and printing. Before publishing the article, they sign an agreement with the publisher of the journal.

Acceptance of the work for publication in the journal "Music in the Pedagogical, Social and Cultural Context" means that the authors transfer the rights to the publication to the University of Rzeszów Publishing House.

Instructions regarding the structure of the article:

1. The article should contain the following elements (in the given order):

  • name and surname of the author (or authors),
  • affiliation of the author (or authors),
  • ORCiD number
  • title,
  • text of the article (in Polish, English)
  • an appendix bibliography,
  • title and abstract in English (up to 900 characters with spaces),
  • keywords in English,

2. The article should be prepared taking into account the editorial requirements in accordance with the recommendations of the Editors (Appendix 1.)
