Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the productivity of hens representing the conservation breeds/lines Greenleg Partridge (Z-11), Yellowleg Partridge (Ż-33), Rhode Island Red (R-11), Sussex (S-66) and Leghorn (G-99, H-22). In conclusion, large differences were found in the conservation flocks of laying hens for all the productive traits analysed. These lines are a source of genetic variation in breeding material and can be used in the future to produce new bird varieties with specific traits. In addition, analysis of the results shows that the conservation programme for these lines ensures their health and productivity.
