Analysis of bacteriological flora isolated from patients hospitalised in District Hospital No 2 in years 2004–2006
Keywords:
infections, microorganisms, resistance mechanismsAbstract
In the study a retrospective analysis of bacteriological flora of one of the biggest hospitals in the South-Eastern part of Poland , namely District Hospital no 2 in Rzeszów, was carried out. Etiological factors of bacteriological infections, which belong to “alert patogens” were analysed. Their name stems from their antibiotic resistance mechanism. Due to that fact their registration is obligatory. The examined microorganisms were isolated from the patients who were hospitalised in the period between 1st January 2004 and 31st December 2006. It was stated that the amount of bacteries producing antibiotic resistance mechanism is decreasing among the majority of microorganisms which registration was obligatory.
