Efficiency of biogas production from agricultural and food industry wastes

Abstract

Methane fermentation in one of the most efficient ways of gas fuel production from biomass. Different raw materials can be used in that process. In order to compare efficiency and profitability of biogas production from chosen raw materials, a simulation program was used. Cereal slop was the most efficient substrate comparing to less efficient pig slurry. The best technical and economical factors were utilization of fruit wastes together with slurry or slop.
