Abstract

This publication is dedicated to illustration of several examples of improper water management consequences. The instances were chosen to show diversity (dams, mines, pollution). The articles covers the following topics: the ecological drama of the Aral Sea, the Three Gorges Dam, the complex of dams in Turkey, the dam rupture disaster in the Brazilian iron ore mine and the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
