Abstract

The research was carried out in the lake district of Olsztyn between 1992 and 1999. 10 basins had been marked out for examination, including: 5 drained by drainage system, 2 by cultivated drainage ditches and 2 forest areas drained by streams as a reference. The aim of this study was to determine the annual nitrogen mineral forms outflow from soil depending on drainage system and meteorological conditions during the year. It was found that outflow depends on: granulometric composition of soil, drainage system, land usage, but dynamics of outflow depends on meteorological conditions duringthe hydrological year.
