Abstract

Nowadays in Poland because of considerable increase of security risk of mass events, especially football matches, a lot of attention is being paid to prevent such incidents while events. There are undertaken actions whose effect is not only the security of such an event, but also conclusions for the future which are related to legal regulations obliging the organizer of the event to introduce such undertakings to maximise the security of its participants. In order to operate more effectively in this area, author of the study analysed the security level of mass events provided by the Police in Poland in the years 2007–2016.There has discussed the issue of the number of secured mass events, the number of police officers involved in the security measures, costs incurred by the Police in connection with this actions, the number of people detained by the Police due to hooligan behavior during mass events, as well as the number of crimes and offenses in connection with mass events disclosed by the police.
