Author Guidelines

1. The  received  work  should  not  exceed  25  pages  of  a standard  text for  an article, 10 pages for
a comment and 5 pages for a review or report.

2. The text should be sent to the Editorial Board’s office in a computer printout, as well as in an electronic version either in the Word’97 programme or in a more recent one.

3. Tables, graphs or figures, which are a part of the text, should also be sent in the electronic form.

4. Submitted materials should also include the Author’s affiliation and personal data (a degree or an academic title, position, place of employment, telephone number, e-mail address and home address), as well as a statement that the submitted text has been sent only to the Editorial Board of the Journal “Ius et Administratio”. In case of academic scientists, there must also be included the name and the address of the home university.

5. For  each  article,  comment  or  review  created by a young scientist (a Master or a PhD who is not
a Professor) there should be attached a preliminary opinion on the merit value of the presented work – a recommendation for publication prepared by a Professor.

6. The article should include an abstract (summary) in an amount of about 0,5 page and keywords in Polish and English.

7.  All the works published in “Ius et Administratio” will be reviewed by independent reviewers. If they suggest changes in the work, taking them into account by the Author of the text is the condition the publication.

8. If the article is positively reviewed and let to publication, the Author is required to submit a corrected text (including the changes suggested by the reviewers) in an electronic version within one week from the day he received the reviewers’ remarks from the Editorial Board. After this deadline the text will not be submitted to the publication.

9. The Editorial Board reserves itself a right to make changes in the sent works: to change titles, abbreviations, make style and other linguistic amendments (e.g. change terminology or documentary).

10. The Editorial Board will not accept texts which do not comply with the basic requirements of the linguistic correctness.

11. The Editorial Board accepts only the works which were not published before.

12. Publication in “Ius et Administratio” is free of charge. The condition of publishing is to transfer the copyright to the Editorial Board, the terms of which are specified in a separate agreement.

13. Documentation in the published texts should be made by means of footnotes, without a separate bibliography list. Foreign phrases (e.g. prima facie, de lege lata) should be written in italics. Quotations should be put in inverted commas „ “, not in italics. Quotations included into quotations should be written in chevron (<< … >>). Footnotes should be made in accordance with our editorial requirements, the main principles of which are as follows:

• in case of monographs: the initial of the first name + fullstop  + the surname of the Author, the title of the publication in italics, the place and year of the publication, the number of the page. E.g.: S. Sagan, Prawo konstytucyjne Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, Warszawa 2003, p. 51.;
• in case of studies or article published in scientific journals: the initial of the first name + fullstop + the surname of the Author, the title of the publication in italics, the full title of the journal in the inverted commas + the year of the publication, the issue number, the number of the page. E.g.: V. Serzhanova, Kościoły w Finlandii, „Studia z Prawa Wyznaniowego” 2007, No. 10, p. 17.;
• in case of edited collective works: the title in italics, ed. + the initial of the first name + fullstop + the surname of the editor, the place and year of the publication, the number of the page. E.g. Authorities and Corporations of Legal Protection, ed. S. Sagan, Warszawa 2001, p. 96.;
• in case of a recitation of the above-mentioned publication: the initial of the first name + fullstop + the surname of the Author, the first two or three words of the title of the publication in italics + … (there may also be added op. cit.), the number of the page. E.g. S. Sagan, Prawo konstytucyjne …, p. 92.;
• in case of a recitation of the publication mentioned in the previous citation with the same page number: Ibidem, with another page number: Ibidem, p. 15.;
• in case of two or more works of the same author in the same line: ibid, the latter.
