Abstract

This article concerns changes in the field of labour law resulting from the introduction state of the epidemic. They relate to new regulations in the sphere of duties and rights of both employers and employees, including in particular the legal regulation of the new institution so - called remote work. The article deals with the most important solutions from the point of view of the protection of workers in the workplace: the employer’s obligation to protect workers by ensuring safe and healthy working conditions and the introduction of measures that can be applied to reduce the likelihood of COVID-19 infection. This is achieved, among others, by the new institution of the so-called remote work. The solution, which is the provision of work in the form of remote work, has not yet been regulated in the Polish legal system. The only regulation contained in the labour code, i.e. teleworking, shows significant differences and is not an identical concept.
