Selected aspects of proper local government in the provision of public services

Abstract

Constant transformations of local government administration, strongly related to civilizational, legal or organizational development, have become a justified pretext for analyzing the selected form of operation of a local government unit, which is its efficiency. When performing public tasks, the local government cooperates with public and non-public entities in terms of shaping the effectiveness of the process of performing these tasks, using various legal solutions adopted. Within the so-called privatization of public tasks, uses, for example, public-private partnership solutions, effectively implementing in practice the principle of organizational flexibility of the administrative apparatus. This, in turn, is to ensure the improvement of the efficiency of its own activities, using more and more innovative tools and methods of quality management.
