Abstract

The article aims at analyzing the personality of a perpetrator of a sexual homicide, as well as the victim of this crime. The Author's starting point is a thesis that receiving the real picture of a crime is possible when we examine not only the personality of an offender, but also of his victim, as well as the relations occurring between them. The article explains the concept and definition of a sexual homicide, presents appearing in the literature classification of such type of a homicide and its characteristics. The article also focuses on the analysis of the personality traits of the sexual homicide’s perpetrator and describes his modus operandi. Later, the Author presents the issue of homicide victims and the vulnerability of becoming a victim, distinguishing various degrees of risk.
