Abstract

The article presents the influence of ROC on the beginnings of state formation and Polish education and national education. In spite of the initial reluctance towards the central authorities, the ROC commissions urgent changes in curricula and obligatory participation of school youth in services celebrated as a free homeland. She paid attention to the programs and teaching manuals included content and characters supporting the national model of education. During its operation, the first certificates with the Polish national emblem were issued and permanent celebrations of important anniversary celebrations – the Constitution of May 3, Kościuszko Insurrection, national liberation and independence regains – in Polish schools were adopted. It influenced the shaping of patriotic and moral attitudes and the consolidation of national identity.
