Changeableness of selected morphological characteristics of head in the Rzeszow children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 in 25 year period

The paper presents analysis of changes occurring in development of selected metric characteristics of head in children and adolescents in 25 year period (1978/79-2003/04). The analysis included such parameters as length of head (g-op), width of head (eu-eu), total facial height (n-gn), length of nose (n-sn) and width of nose (al-al). On the ground of obtained results a subsequent indices of head, face and nose ‘were calculated. In examined period of time we found occurrence of process of elongation of head and shortening of height of face and nose. Reduction in height of face and nose resulted in proportional widening of face and nose.
