Abstract

In his essay the author presents the last changes in consensus institutions (conviction without a trial, voluntary submission to penalty, mediation) made to the amendment of 27 September 2013 and the amendment of 20 February 2015. The author shows the nature and extent of the changes and their importance to the development of a consensus idea in the Polish criminal trial. The aim of this article is to show the sustainable development of a consensus idea and the role of settlement in contemporary Polish criminal trial.
