The Code of Criminal Proceedings contains a number of measures, like in the articles 185a and 185b, which are created in order to reduce the trauma of testifying for juvenile witnesses in connection with crimes and extend their protection. Juvenile witnesses who are under 15 at the time of hearing and testify on crimes among others connected with sexual offences or violence, in principle may be heard only once.
