The Wilanow land property entered in the Land and Mortgage Register and called „Dobra Ziemskie Wilanów” was an indivisible organizational and economic entity, however, several functional parts of it can be distinguished. The first part comprised the palace in Wilanow, the museum and the Wilanów park, the second one `named the farm` in the balance book of lands and interests of count Adam Branicki consisted of agricultural and dairy farms from the Wilanów land and leaseholds. The next elements were the Wilanow forests and the gardens and orchards of Wilanów – from 1936/37 named Wilanow gardens.
Functional links, mainly of an economic nature, between the parts of the Wilanów land property tightened, creating a complex of economically dependent elements constituting an organized economic unit
The research conducted on the functional relationships between the palace along with the park complex and the economic part of the Wilanów land property shows that they should be understood as a necessary interrelation of the proper functioning of the entire estate. It would be impossible to do farming (production) without good work organization (planning, supervision, sales). The operation of the administrative and accounting facilities that were located in the closest vicinity of the palace would not have been possible without that part of the property that served for agricultural production.
