The decree of the President of Poland on excessive remuneration in the sector of enterprises of 21 June, 1932, concerned senior administrative executives earning in excess of 2,500 PLN monthly or 30,000 PLN annually. The decree affected thos companies thathad delayed payment of obligations imposed by the State Treasury and regulated remuneration of employees. In the Lviv region, in 1932, 11 enterprises were selected, whose employees earned over 5,000 PLN per month or over 60,000PLN per year, in the previous year. In 1936, in the 21 analysed enterprises, 36 people were employed whose minimum remuneration was 2,500 PLN monthly or 30,000 annually. In 1936, the turnover of enterprises was also calculated. The purpose of the regulation was to encourage enterprises to systematically regulate their liabilities towards the State Treasury. As a consequence, it also became more difficult to export foreign currency abroad. In 1932, an economic crisis occurred, the salaries of workers and state officials were reduced, and in that context, the reduction of exorbitant remunerations of entrepreneurs fulfilled propaganda aims.
