Abstract

The increase in consumption results in the production of more waste, including packaging. Companies focused on low production cost and quick profit, mainly use plastics due to their ease of processing, low weight and wide use. Most of the packaging, especially disposable, is not suitable for easy recycling and becomes dangerous to the health and life of organisms under the influence of external factors. A survey conducted among students of the University of Rzeszów on line showed that 75% of respondents are aware of the relationship between consumer choices and packaging waste management. More than half of students do not pay attention to the label on the packaging of goods.
