Abstract

The survey research made in 2015 among the selected inhabitants of Podkarpacie was to determine the degree of interest in the astro tourism offer and problems related to pollution of the sky with artificial light. Based on the data obtained it should be stated that these issues are little known to them. A small percentage of the respondents was interested in astronomy and looked for information on authorized websites. Only one in six respondents plan in the near future to participate in the attractions offered by astro-tourism even at a considerable distance and at the price of a one-off ticket over 20 zlotys. In Podkarpackie astro tourism attractions are mainly located in the southern part of the voivodship and concern shows in observatories and Sky Park in the Bieszczady Mountains.
