Natural space as a value for sustainable development

Abstract

Natural space was converted through the centuries mainly because of food production, and for a long time it did not disturb the ecological balance. Now more and more areas are utilized for industry, urbanization and transport. Sustainable development is aiming at rationalization of raw materials management (retardation of material processing of the world) and their effective utilization. Correct management of natural space conducted by an educated society is an important instrument of environmental protection. The thesis “inhabitants of rural regions of Podkarpacie understand the meaning of natural space as a limited resource” was tested by means of a survey.
