Patches and ecological corridors in the Rzeszów area

Abstract

Urban landscapes are mosaics described by such components as: patches, corridors and the surrounding matrix. Patch size and shape, corridor characteristics and connectivity work together to determine the flow of materials, living organisms and energy though the landscape. In the paper the main patches and ecological corridors of the Rzeszów area are presented.
