Territorial communities development in Covid-19 times: Polish-Ukrainian experience

Abstract

This article is devoted to the peculiarities of the organization of anti-crisis measures by local governments in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic on the example of Ukraine and Poland. The authors draw attention to the preventive measures introduced by local governments of both states, emphasizing the importance of the systemic approach in combating the spread of COVID-19, which was suggested by EU member states. In addition, the main consequences of the pandemic’s impact on the social and socio-economic life of communities and the challenges that require an urgent response from both local and national authorities have been identified.
