The issue of lost love based on ***[I am Julia] by Halina Poświatowska and White Notebooks by Agnieszka Osiecka (at a Polish language lesson in high school)

Abstract

The paper focuses on the issues of a comparative analysis and interpretation of Halina Poświatowska’s poem ***[I am Julia] and Agnieszka Osiecka’s poetic song entitled ‘The White Notebooks’ and it includes a scenario lesson designed for secondary school. The selected poems are expressions on the theme of lost love, and they present different attitudes towards heartbreak. The aim of this paper is to justify the above thesis and also to present the theme of unfulfilled love from the point of view of the Polish language education.
