Abstract

In his article, the author presented the idea of implementing Polish language lessons in the form of a short class idea using the computer game Minecraft (Mojang Studios 2011). In his opinion, such a lesson can help develop students’ creativity and activate them, which is a particularly desirable element today during lessons related to working with a book. In the introduction, the author described the phenomenon of computer games and the possibilities of their didactic use in grades 4–6. Then he presented the advantages of working with this method, including developing creativity, activating students, and involving the entire class team in project work. The article ends with a proposed scenario of conducting such a lesson in every school, which may be helpful in the work of practicing teachers. The author also posted a video summarizing his Minecraft project and issues developed with sixth-grade students for a film script that can be made with students.
