Psychosocial and spiritual needs of man and the therapy of broken or not formed attachment between mother and child

Human being presents three, interconnected on the level of inner, interpersonal and intergenerational responsibility, spheres: corporal, mental and spiritual. Love and suffering have been concomitant aspects of human life since the dawn of man. They always affect body, psyche, soul. Mother love for the child since its conception is a prerequisite for formation of attachment, which guarantees feeling of security and belonging. It makes the process of separation and individualization and growing independent easier. It prompts creativity and initiation. It creates basis for formation of basic trust, which conditions ability to create bonds with other people. These are necessary elements in the process of upbringing. Lack of attachment or broken attachment cause maternal deprivation syndrome, hospital disease or psychosocial dwarfism syndrome. A child that is treated in the first phase – protest – and II – despair – has a good prognosis, in the III phase – of indifference – there occurs regression in behavioral and psychosomatic sphere and changes become irreversible. Occurrence of deprivation syndrome in the child during the critical period of its development totally or partly disorganizes its personality, causing later in life sociopathic behavior. Care for appropriate personal development of the child from the first stages of its life should be 320 a priority for parents responsible for child's health, health care and education organizers. Meeting basic psychical needs of children is a prerequisite that they find fulfillment in adult life.
