Supervision of Conferences of the Rectors of Polish Academic and Vocational Schools

Abstract

Conferences of the Rectors of Polish Academic and Vocational Schools are organizations operating on the principle of associations. They do not have autonomy similar to the universities, however they hold legal personality. Conferences act in the interest of the academic environment which they represent in relations with public authorities. They have their own bodies selected in the manner envisioned for associations. General assembly of the conference of rectors is the highest authority of the latter. The activities of the conference are supervised by a respective minister responsible for higher education, who utilize surveillance measures provided by the law on associations.
