Wojciech Walat, PhD, DSc (Habil.), Professor at the University of Rzeszów (Poland)

Wojciech Walat holds a habilitated doctorate in the humanities, discipline: pedagogy. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pedagogy in Rzeszów (1988), earned his PhD at the Educational Research Institute in Warsaw (1995), and obtained his habilitation degree at Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic (2009).
His academic and professional career includes employment at the University of Pedagogy in Rzeszów (1987–2001) and subsequently at the University of Rzeszów (since 2001), where he has been affiliated with the Institute of Technology, Department of Didactics of Technology and Computer Science, Faculty of Education. He served as Head of the Department of General Didactics and Educational Systems (2015–2020), Head of the Department of Teacher Education (2020–2024), and has been affiliated with the Laboratory of Information Society Studies since 2020. He held the positions of Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Education (2005–2012) and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education (2012–2020).
Professor Walat initiated the establishment of the Rzeszów Children’s University (2013), the interactive exhibition Exploratorium (2014), and the Bilingual University Secondary School (2015). Since 2024, he has served as an expert member of the Ministry of National Education Council for the Digitalization of Education.
His research interests include school textbooks, real and virtual educational environments, and comparative studies of educational systems. His scholarly output comprises five monographs, 84 peer-reviewed journal articles, and 10 edited volumes. He has supervised nine doctoral dissertations and 185 master’s and bachelor’s theses. Since 2003, he has organized the international scientific conference Education – Technology – Computer Science and has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Education, Technology and Computer Science since 2010.

Waldemar Lib holds a PhD in the humanities in the field of pedagogy, with specializations in general pedagogy, technical education, and computer science education. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pedagogy in Rzeszów (1997), postgraduate studies in software engineering (1998–1999), and earned his PhD at the Educational Research Institute in Warsaw (2007).
His academic career includes positions at the University of Pedagogy in Rzeszów (1998–2001) and subsequently at the University of Rzeszów (since 2001), where he has been affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and later the Faculty of Education. He currently serves as Head of the Department of General Didactics (since 2024). Previously, he led the E-learning Unit, the Knowledge Optimization and Transfer Unit, and currently heads the Laboratory of Ergonomics and Work Organization within the Laboratory of Information Society Studies at the Center for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer.
He has served as a member of multiple faculty councils, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Education, Vice-Dean of the College of Social Sciences (2020–2024), Senator of the University of Rzeszów (2012–2016; 2024–2028), and Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Minors (2024–2028). He has also acted as an expert for the Ministry of National Education in curriculum reform related to technical education.
His research interests focus on theoretical and methodological foundations of education, instructional design, and studies of technical and ICT vocabulary among general and vocational school students. His scholarly output includes 231 publications, including academic and school textbooks, workbooks, and methodological guides. He has supervised 29 master’s theses, 19 bachelor’s theses, and 16 engineering theses. Since 2003, he has co-organized the international conference Education – Technology – Computer Science and has served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal Education – Technology – Computer Science (2010–2019), and since 2020 of the Journal of Education, Technology and Computer Science.

Anna Dziama holds a PhD in linguistics, specializing in cultural linguistics, cultural studies, and English language teaching methodology. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Institutional Discourse Studies at the Institute of English Philology, University of Rzeszów.
Her research focuses on cultural linguistics, particularly the relationship between language and culture, cultural conceptualization, and linguistic evaluation. Her scholarly interests include Anglophone cultures and the influence of language on the perception of reality.
She teaches courses in Practical English, American Cultural Studies, Cultural Studies, and English for Current Affairs. She is the author or co-author of 54 scholarly and popular-science publications, participates in international academic conferences, and completed a research visit at Nazareth College, Rochester, USA. She supervises bachelor’s theses.

Making a preliminary decision about accepting an article for printing or rejecting it if it does not comply with the thematic scope of the journal.
- Substantive support of the executive editor in the decision to publish an article in case of one negative review (the justification is prepared by an expert from among the board members).
- Thematic scope (approving the structure of content) of specific editions of the journal.
- A vision for the journal's development (and its modifications) for at least the next five years.
- Reviewing candidates for new members of the Scientific Committee.
