Dr. Wojciech Walat (Poland)

Professor at the University of Rzeszów, PhD in Pedagogy (specializations: general pedagogy, general didactics, computer science didactics, and vocational didactics). He heads the Department of General Education and Educational Systems and the Continuing Education Laboratory.

His research interests include the theory and practice of school textbooks (textbooks, workbooks, dictionaries, school encyclopedias, reading habits), technical and computer science education, and the principles of operation of educational systems in Poland and abroad.

Since 2010, he has been editor-in-chief of the scientific quarterly Education – Technology – Computer Science, currently the Journal of Education, Technology and Computer Science.

He has authored or co-authored over 360 scientific, popular science, and methodological publications, including 27 monographs and over 50 textbooks, workbooks, and curricula for technical and computer science subjects for primary, middle, and upper secondary schools. Supervisor of 127 bachelor's theses, 90 master's theses, and 7 doctoral dissertations.

A university lecturer at the University of Rzeszów, he holds a PhD in pedagogy (specializations: general pedagogy, technical didactics, and computer didactics). He works in the Department of General Education and Educational Systems. He was the head of the E-learning Workshop and currently heads the Knowledge Optimization and Transfer Workshop in the Information Society Problems Workshop at the Center for Innovation and Transfer of Technical and Natural Knowledge.

His research interests include theoretical and methodological perspectives on education, the theoretical and methodological foundations of designing and implementing modern (multimedia and traditional) methodological research in education, and research on the technical and computer vocabulary of general and vocational school students.

He is the author or co-author of 226 scientific, popular science, and methodological publications, including textbooks, workbooks, and methodological guides for teachers of technology and computer science in primary and secondary schools. Supervisor of 29 master's theses, 19 bachelor's theses, and 16 engineering theses.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Scientific Council
Making a preliminary decision about accepting an article for printing or rejecting it if it does not comply with the thematic scope of the journal.

- Substantive support of the executive editor in the decision to publish an article in case of one negative review (the justification is prepared by an expert from among the board members).

- Thematic scope (approving the structure of content) of specific editions of the journal.

- A vision for the journal's development (and its modifications) for at least the next five years.

- Reviewing candidates for new members of the Scientific Committee.
