Abstract

Technical education of primary school students is primarily aimed at building a child’s activeand critical attitude towards technology and technical progress as well as familiarizing himself with selected Polish and foreign achievements in this area. The magazine „Little Sunday Guest” may behelpful in this respect, as it aims to convey knowledge in a diverse and accessible way, using interesting graphics. Thematic articles of technical knowledge can be distinguished in the texts published in the journal. These include, among others: general terminology in the field of technology, names oftechnical devices and their elements, names of the manufacturer of the technique, names of fields,figures of inventors and explorers, names of events related to the history of technology.In addition to the written word, the teacher should familiarize students with authentic objects from the field of technology, exhibited in cultural institutions. Most often, these are museums thatshow the ancient and modern face of technology in an attractive educational way. The article will present selected cultural institutions located on the Industrial Monuments Trail of the Śląskie Voivodeship.
