Support for the Pupil’s Parents as an Element of Psychological and Pedagogical Help Provided by the School

Abstract

Supporting the educational role of parents is a statutory task of the Polish education system. Specific forms of support for parents of schoolchildren organized by the school are indicated by the regulations governing the provision and organization of psychological and pedagogical assistance. Despite these guarantees, the support for the pupils’ parents can be fragmentary, schematic and implemented in insufficiently varied forms. The results of research carried out among parents, the presentation of which is included in the text, can be the illustration of this.
