Abstract

Professional education of sentenced people is a one of the fundamental method of penitentiary influence. Course teaching enables convicts to get an appropriate professional qualifications which give them the opportunity to find a job after serving a sentence and it is the preventing element to the recidivism occurrence. In this article there was discussed the professional education program for prisoners named „POWER” and there were presented the statistics of Central Board of Prison Service (Warsaw) which applies to prisoners' education within various forms of education.
