Non-public schools and institutions are financed from private sources, mainly from tuition fees paid by parents and public funds in the form of grants awarded by local government units. This article, based on a legal analysis supported by the literature review, presents the complexity of current solutions in the mode and principles of granting educational grants to non-state and non-governmental entities, as well as the way they are acquired, used and settled by beneficiaries. The paper has taken into account diversity of non-public schools and the evolution of the most important procedural solutions under the decentralization of education policy in Poland over the last 25 years.Downloads
