Fields of cooperation at the school and the local community in the opinion of headmasters – a review of existing studies

Abstract

The challenge posed to school is to develop a modern man in such a way to prepare him for life in a changing world. The school is made up of people – the future status of the social capital of our country depends on human and social capital of this institution. A necessary condition of creating is e.g. effective cooperation. The article presents an analysis of existing research results in the area of cooperation in school (in the opinion of the headmasters of Polish schools) and schools with the local community. Considerations are based on two reports: SZKOŁA WSPÓŁPRACY: Uczniowie i rodzice kapitałem społecznym nowoczesnej szkoły, Raport zbiorczy z badania jakościowego [Trutkowski 2014] and Współpraca szkół z podmiotami zewnętrznym. Raport z badania otoczenia instytucjonalnego przedszkoli, szkół podstawowych i gimnazjów [Hernik, Solon-Jasiński, Stasiowski, Slijko 2012].
