Lviv period in the scientific and artistic activity of Zofia Drexler-Pasławska

Zofia Drexler-Pasławska (1887–1979) spent at Lviv only part of her life (1900–1931). Her first interest was philosophy. On this field she leaded her scientific activity, which focused on philosophical literature published in the Polish press „Ruch Filozoficzny” in 1911–1914. In 1912 she received her PhD in philosophy.
When Zofia Drexler-Pasławska graduated vocal study (1915–1922), solo singing was the main cornerstone of her artistic activity. She became a concert singer known in the musical circle of Lviv. Her performances aroused appreciation among Lviv’s music critics. Her repertoire encompassed songs of European and American composers like: J.S. Bach, H. Purcell, W.A. Mozart, D. Sarri, P. Paradies, R. Strauss, C. Debussy, O. Respighi, R. Zandonai, R. Hageman and Polish ones, among others K. Szymanowski, A. Sołtys, W. Friemann and J. Koffler. After her husband death in 1931, the artist left Lviv forever.
