The article presents the thermodynamic model of spreading information and knowledge. Firstly, an idealistic case is presented, where both information and knowledge are the components of a simple reductionist cognitive system. Here, the dissemination of information is subjected to normal diffusion, whereas the spread of knowledge is a superposition of diffusion processes. The second, more realistic case, represents a holistic approach, where information and knowledge are interactive non-extensive components of a cognitive system perceived as a complex adaptive system.Downloads
