Technology Start-ups Generating Innovation in the Economy as a Result of the Commercialization of Scientific Research

The study builds on the scientific research commercialization and the transfer of knowledge through which innovative businesses arise very often: i.e. start-ups. Based on the analysis of literature the author characterized what is start-up, listed the characteristics of start-up business and business models on the basis of which they operate. The author also presented the results of three major studies of a start-up environment in Poland and the start-ups themselves. In the final part of the study there are examples of Polish innovative start-ups that are starting to apply international success. It was also described what problems start-ups in Poland are facing with pointing out possible sources of financing available for them.Downloads
