This article presents a distributed renewable energy as a chance for the innovative development of the Polish economy. It contains a review of the possibilities of introducing innovative solutions not only in the energy sector but also in other industries. Continuous technological development forces us to introduce more and more new solutions, and renewable energy as a rather capricious power source, necessitates the use of solutions has not used in the management of electricity network before. In addition, investing in renewable energy is driving the development of the industry producing generation equipment such as wind turbines, photovoltaic modules, solar collectors and heat pumps. This in turn translates into faster development of technology to convert renewable energy into heat and electricity. The growing demand for energy research forces increase the efficiency of power generation equipment and the desire to minimize the cost of producing energy. Furthermore, solutions used in distributed energy systems make it possible to introduce all sorts of technological innovations related to the use of electronic devices in our households. All these factors are the engine of innovation economy.Downloads
