Abstract

The article is based on the analysis of the legal acts and the literature of the objects which main purpose is to present the alternative manners of extrajudical arbitration of consumer disputes in Poland in the context of market digitization. Particular legal -organizational issues of the con-ception of alternative dispute resolution in the European Union and Poland are also shown. The notion of modern consumer in the context of market digitization is defined. The Modern consumer is the person who takes advantage of all traditional shopping capabilities as well as digital techno-logical solutions for daily shopping. They have the capability of the use of many purchasing chan-nels simultaneously depending on current claims and requirements. In addition, the generic divi-sion of the ADR organizations functioning in the European Union is analyzed. The ADR organiza-tions in Poland were indicated and characterized. They include Constant Consumer Arbitral Tribu-nal, Trade Inspection, Consumer Protection Department, Insurance Ombudsman and Self-government organization of banks. Last part of the article is the conclusion of real alternative dispute resolution problems in market digitization era in Poland. It states that the development of digitization market, in which the consumer is secure, is subordinated to proficiently functioning subjects showing assistance to the consumers in the case of violating their rights. That is why the development of alternative ways of investigation of extrajudical pretensions seems to be the cur-rent and important issue.
