From academic style to the idea of Polish as a foreign language for academic purposes

Abstract

The following article is an overview of the issues related to scientific style and Polish as a foreign language for academic purposes. The role of the latter – in view of the increasing number of foreign students in Poland – is growing every year. The text presents the most important names and literature on these two issues, as well as challenges for the future related to these language varieties.
