Abstract

Among the names of Polish dog breeding kennels, or breeding nicknames, particularly interesting and original are those characterized by cultural references. Motifs cultural can be varied and include references to literature, among others, music, film, art. or religion, among others. They have a positive impact on the functions: informational and emotional, performed by the analysed onyms in the process of linguistic communication.
