Abstract

The text is devoted to the motif of silence in Anna Kamieńska’s poetry. For the poet, the Bible has for years been the sphare of dialogue and the source of inexhaustible reflection. Her poems, essays and translations are devoted to those fascinations. In the discussed works by Kamieńska the issues affecting humans are shown under the guise of symbolic meanings or biblical metaphors, and recognising them allows to infer the meanings embedded in a literary text.
