Bydgoszcz theatre scene in the years 1945–1949

Abstract

The article is devoted to history and social-political dimension of Bydgoszcz theatre in the years 1945–1949. Theatre interacts with the audience, the surrounding reality and responds quickly to social changes. I want to show, how Bydgoszcz theatre shows the upcoming changes. Were the conditions for the cultural progress? Was there true way of create? Unfortunately no. At the artistic aspect determinated not only the current events, but also by the authors of the local scene.
