Dorota Terakowska (1938-2004) made her debut as a writer at the age of forty (in the late 80s). She was an author of essays, reportages and interviews (for example: two volumes of interviews with Jacek BombaTo be a family…) as well as several novels and short stories, which commonly use a convention of sleep and wakefulness, showing people in crisis and motivating them to make difficult choices or make hard decisions (The Lord of Lewaw, Mr. Gryms’ Mirror, A witches’ daughter, In the land of the cat, Chrysalis, It). Recipients of her prose can be found amongst the young as well as the mature. Dorota Terakowska won numerous awards for her work.Downloads
