Abstract

The paper is devoted to the debut sheet of poetry by Andrzej Piskulak, a poet, prose writer, publisher and journalist associated with the Świętokrzyskie region. Poetry was the first literary genre from which he began his adventure with literature and to which he remained faithful for years, despite other forms of writing activity,in addition to many years of journalistic activity. These achievements are a significant contribution to the cultural heritage of the Świętokrzyskie region, nevertheless, Piskulak’s work has not yet been comprehensively analyzed in the subject literature. Poetry became a driving force in the development of his literary genres and journalistic practice, and this is why the first volume of poetry seems to be crucial in his further writing perspective. In „A Lockpick can be a key to a fairy tale” (1980), he takes up threads that he will continue and develop in a more orderly and mature way, crystallizing his vision of the philosophical and worldview world, set in a geopoetic space – the Świętokrzyskie region, the poet’s small homeland.
