Abstract

The paper presents the characteristics of modern databases in terms of storage and handling mechanisms of multimedia data types. Presents the possibility to build an interactive web applications on the basis of object-oriented relational database that uses multimedia object types available in libraries Oracle Multimedia and JSP programming language. This subject can be successfully used in the teaching the database and programming subjects.
